Man....I am reading and hearing some real sickening stuff about the supposed Batman re-do/re-boot.Makes me SICK!! What is the purpose ,besides pissing off tons of diehard fans and ruining a great character....who I've been following since 1985??!! Greed? Stupidity(yea I said it) Out to make a name?? Grant Morrison just lost my respect and I would tell that to his face. I sure will miss my Batman as HE IS NOW!!!!!! North

Yea. This idea was hashed out on the Batman R.I.P. thread. I agree that it is a colossial d**k move by DC and Dan Dido in paticular to let Morrision mess with the Bat.

Could be worse. They could've had Batman make a deal with the devil to erase part of his history, like a certain wall crawler did.

I dont need this stress!!!! Grant Morrison should quietly f**k off and leave Batman to decent writers.
What a monkey that man is.

I agree! What is wrong with the writers these days. Are they so desperate for story ideas and sales that they will do anything for a story? I don't want my hero dead for any amount of time. I want no replacements. I want Bruce Wayne Batman.

as s been discussed before, Bruce Wayne IS Batman, nobody else. You can put somebody else in the suit but it wouldnt be the same. I think we all love Batman because of what he stands for and the code that he has.
Jean-Paul Valley was Batman for a while but he wasnt THE Batman because that is Bruce. Always has and always will be.

Ok...really...seriously. Lets stop and think about this logically...are they REALLY going to do away with Bruce Wayne? Of course not! He'll be back soon enough. Its a sales gimmick. Nothing to fret over.

Yeah, I guess. Thanks Matt, you got me thinking positive about this:) And all this time I thought they were going to kill of Batman.
Hey now that I say it, it sounds stupid and ridiculous... Batman dead...Ha!

Anyone here read Justice League of America #0? The whole thing is glimpses into the past and future. Part of it has Superman and Wonder Woman grieving the death of Batman. So either he does quite a job faking his death, or he actually dies.

^ the stuff in the future is actually from various Elseworlds stories. its a kind of, one of these stories may end up becoming reality sort of thing.

How could you be so sure about that? I didn't see that explained anywhere.

^ because of the stuff thats said by the characters and where they are. one of the "futures" is TDKR, one is Amazonia, one of the Superman elseworlds is shown as well. i havent read every elseworlds, but if 3 of the futures are from those stories, it can assumed that the other ones are as well.
also that particular issue came out about 2 and a half years ago and was written by a writer who isnt writing any books for the company at this time. anything that happened in the "future" in that book that actually does occur is purely coincidental. one of those future scenarios cant possibly come true now anyway, which kind of brings down the credibility of those parts actually occuring. of everything in that story only Jonathon Kent dying has actually happened, but has died in the past in the stories that are no longer in continuity, making them elseworlds stories.
