I'm not sure about other states, but around Harrisburg, PA, the newer DCSH figures aren't too plentiful. My local K-marts and Toys R us still have Series 1 clogging the shelves and never put out any Series 2. Target had both 1 and 2. Walmart had 1,2 and now has 3. With Series 4 shipping, will certain retail chains bypass 3 and go to 4 ?
Luckliy I have all I need so far with 1-3, thanks to ebay and a few fellow loggers here. My take is that if you see Series 3 on the shelf at your local shop, don't pass it up, as you may not see at retail again. remember, stores have limited peg space and will not carry two series at a time, one or the other will be dropped.
What do you guys and gals think of Mattel's rush shipping of series 3 & 4 ? Will this hurt collectors as they won't be able to find the new figures ? If they do, will it be the 4 Batmans or 4 Supermans warming the pegs ?

I happen to think it's probably a result of the line not going as well as they might have liked. Over here in Nowheresville FL series 1 sat on pegs for months, and only one store in the area bothered to pick up 2. Series 3 never came, so I ordered online and got only a semidecent set with Batman's arm partially broken. Obviously, my experience is probably not the same as most of the other LOGers but it's something to consider when the line barely sells at all in a small town, which, by the way, sells Star Wars figures and Xmen figures quite well.

The bottom line is , DC figures have always been a hard sell. Unless it's Batman with a TV show or Movie. $10 for a plain figure is harder to sell then that popular Toybiz line that has a build a figure fot $8. All the stores i go to are starting to get backed up with DCSH, i hope with the Holidays around the corner things will change. Plus the need to just throw away those Superman Returns figures, to open up some peg space.
