Hey guys! As you may have noticed, I live in Bulgaria and we don't have a lot of comics here and almost no Batman comics (5 books in total were published here) and now a bookstore has imported some from the US and I bought all, exept "All-Star Batman & Robin: Volume 1". I just got my scholarship and wanted to ask you if it's worth it getting the book, because I've read that the story was really bad (although the art looks awsome). It's priced 45 leva, which is around 25-30$. Having in mind that I bought "Year One" and "Arkham Asylum" for 30 leva (15-20$) each, is it worth it to buy the "All-Star" book?
Thanks!

in my opinion its not worth that price, but the lack of Batman might make it more worth it. it was an okay story, there are many people that loved it though.

Well, is Volume 1 a complete story, because there isn't a big chance of other volumes to be imported. My brother told me that he also saw the first two volumes of "No Man's Land" which were a bit less expensive than the All-Stars book, but they don't have volumes 3,4 and 5 and nobody knows if they'll have them. And although I have the novel, I'd rather have a complete story...

Vol. 1 isn't the complete story. There's still so much to the story, but unfortunately the series has been placed on hiatus. I would wait. I think it's good, but take into account this isn't your regular Batman.

Yeah, I know it's not a regular Batman - It's the Goddamn Batman! I think I'll go with "No Man's Land" volumes 1 and 2, though.

^ great choices. NML is one of my favorite all-time story arcs.

I hope to finally own the entire No Man's Land series. Buying all 5 at once is expensive, but it will be worth it and it will be a gem in by Bat-collection. I'll probably need about a week to get through them all.

I'm kind of up in the air about All-Star Batman and Robin. There's certain elements of the story I really love, but I just hate the fact that Batman is such an butthead in it. I realize it's taking place in Frank Miller's universe, and in his universe Dick is the villain in Dark Knight Strikes Again and is killed by Bruce, so when you think about it like that it makes much more sense as to how Dick could become so bitter towards Bruce.

I bought #1 through #10 and I don't believe #11 will ever be released. I was very let down by the poor story line and the way fans were left hanging with no real explanation. I would only buy it for Jim Lee's artwork. But for the story itself I would pass. I just doubt we will see it continued.

I'm a little disappointed that this series fails to be released. It's on hiatus and Lee and Miller are supposed to be working on it, but it just looks like #11 ain't coming out. I just want them to finish and end the series.
