Hey I'm new here and I was just wondering where should I start. I've read the Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Haunted Knight, Killing Joke, Year One, Chronicles 1 and working 2. I wanted to catch up on the RIP and Final Crisis because I seen the graphic novels for them are out. What else do you think I should get?

You should have plenty of recommendations in the link that Jlavaia provided, however I always give my 2 cents in these threads by saying, get to the closest comic shop and go thru the back issue bins. There are tons of stories that are not considered to be "in continuity" that deserve to be read and looked at. If you really want to start collecting Batman comics, then collect the Batman comics. Meaning the individual issues. Its real easy to start in the 70's, before that youll be getting into very high price books. Enjoy them for what they are.

^You should read svengali1337 and mine all time favorite-"Batman: Secrets". Then, be sure to tell us what a wonderous work it is.

When the trade comes out, get "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?" A great tribute story to the 70 year history of The Dark Knight by Neil Gaiman.
