Which story is darker Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth or The Killing Joke? I'd say The Killing Joke is darker because of what happened to Barbara.

I think the artwork in Arkham is scarier, almost nightmarish or ghoulish. In that respect Arkham might be darker.
