Yeah, I'm really not trying to portray it as real, that's just the direction I would love to see Nolan go with the next one.

Any word if our favorite GC:PDer's Detectives Bullock and Montoya are going to be in III? I personally vote for Robert Costanzo, I love his voice and it doesn't hurt that he not only already played Bullock but looks like him as well! For the longest time I could have sworn I saw both of them here and there in II until she was identified as Det. Anna Ramirez later on. I can see Angelina Jolie playing Montoya.
What do ya'll think?

I'd really like to see another Scarecrow cameo scene. Just kind of a neat tie through all 3 films.

Yahoo news are saying that the next film is at least two years away. Nolan is working on a sci-fi flick called "inception" to be released summer 2010. Oh well, at least theres time to write up a great script

My opinion on villain casting is: Kevin Spacey as The Riddler, Michael Clarke Duncan as Bane, Ben Kingsley as Mr. Freeze, Chloe Sevigny as Poison Ivy, Charlize Theron as Catwoman, and Anthony Hopkins as The Penguin. Thats if the characters are used. Freeze and Ivy might be a tough fit for a story. Thats my 2 cents, Thank you.

I've loved the idea of Beckinsale as Catwoman ever since I saw "Underworld" but the latest rumor floating around is that Nolan could cast Marion Cotillard as Catwoman (should she be in the story for B3). She will be in Nolan's upcoming film, "Inception". And anyone who is in a Nolan film has a good shot at being in a Bat-flick. haha

I just hope they don't over do it by trying to make a movie greater than the dark knight. It will be impossible to top ledger. As long as they make a movie just as great and that lives up to the hype, I'll be happy.

I think that the Joker should be recast, despite Ledgers death. they could have an actor that looks like Heath do it, and have Mark Hamil do his voice over the actor like in Birds of Prey. The Joker is Batman's Arch Enemy. He can't be in just one movie! I'd also like to see Mr. Freeze in it, and have be more tragic, like in BTAS. Maybe Joker could manipulate him into doing his dirty work with the promises of giving him the cure for his wife, then turn his back on him on the last second. The bald guy from Star Trek could play Mr. Freeze.

i love that theme in dark victory though of batman having to do everything himself, until robin comes in at the end. he's distanced himself from everyone because of the pain that being close to him has caused. that direction could really work in the aftermath of TDK.

Putting it that way works. I just don't want a kid running around. I don't see Nolan's Batman dealing with that.

I have thought this out with my friend nate and here's the plot: Black Mask surfaces (from somewhere other city), returning to Gotham since his company went under and was sold to Wayne Enterprises. He wears a mask for fear tactics (its not fused to his face, since they want to be as "realistic" as possible). But that was back when Bruce's parents ran the company. He now comes back wanting to destroy Bruce Wayne. He is now the biggest crime lord in Gotham City. He hires some nut named "The Riddler" to discover Batman's identity and crush him that way (The first movie was about Batman's beginnings, in the second the mob just wanted him dead and hired Joker for that, and in the third they hire the Riddler to figure out his identity) Riddler NEVER physically appears before Batman, maybe just with holograms, and the only time we see him in person is when he's with Black Mask. Meanwhile, Batman enlists the aid of Catwoman, who's biggest crime is cat burglary. But she's taken an interest in his over the news and decides to help him. SO: You have Black Mask paying Riddler to discover Batman's identity You have Catwoman aiding Batman against the mob (of course she goes back to crime by the end of the movie) I say within 3/4 of the movie Black Mask is captured, but Riddler continues work on his own. That seems like an awesome plot. By the end, Riddler is insane because he cannot find out Batman's identity and he fails at killing Batman too (However, Riddler is never a physical villain, he's more a tricky/death trap type of villain) NOW: If Black Mask needed muscle on his side, they could either bring in Bane or Clayface. Clayface is less likely, but he's just so damn cool and easily one of my favorites. Clayface would work with Black Mask too because Black Mask ran a company that went under because of a make up that deformed the faces of many women. Since Basil Karlo was a movie actor, he could have "overdosed" on make up (I know, that's silly, but still) and had a horrid reaction that transmutated him into CLAYFACE. I don't know exactly why Clayface would fight Batman other than Batman gets in his way of killing Black Mask. Perhaps Clayface could work for Black Mask until he realizes Black Mask ran the company that created the make up that messed up his skin. Or maybe there is no Clayface. Either way, Catwoman should have a confrontation with Black Mask since she kills him in the comics. That's my idea. With or without Clayface, I think it would make for a wonderful plot. Riddler Black Mask Catwoman Perfect.

When Clayface originally appeared, he was a killer who wore a clay mask, not a shapeshifter. They could go that route.

Well, I wouldn't want to see him done that way. He and Mr. Freeze are the only Batman villains that are really... "out there". Otherwise, I doubt they would do Clayface period.
What they could do is have Clayface, instead of a clay mask, have a disfigured face due to the make up Black Mask produced (he wore it because he was an actor). I wouldn't mind seeing that.
But I still think Clayface and Mr. Freeze are a little out-there. Would still love to see Black Mask hiring the Riddler.

She is... but I don't really like her as a villain. I never EVER understood the ability to control plants just by screaming "GO GET 'EM". Mr. Freeze makes no sense because his blood stream should freeze at below 34 degrees and therefore his heart should stop pumping blood... but it doesn't. Clayface... out of those three he is the closest to being legitimate. Again. I want my idea to be made into a movie.

In my opinion, Shadow of the Bat would be an excellent title for the next film.
To be honest, though I like the idea of Johnny Depp as Riddler, I'm behind David Tennant for the role 100%. Tennant has expressed interest in playing Riddler, and I believe he'd do a great job. He may not be as dark and sadistic as the Joker was (I can't really see David Tennant playing someone -that- evil) but he'd still make a great villain.
As for a Joker recast, I noticed that in some parts of the Star Trek movie, Chris Pine (the actor who played Captain Kirk) looked a lot like Ledger's Joker with some of his expressions. For example, some of his expressions in the scene where Captain Pike talked to him in the bar reminded me very much of some of Joker's expressions while Gordon was interrogating him in TDK. So I think that Pine might be a good choice to play Joker.
I'm also a big fan of another Scarecrow cameo, though that may be just because Scarecrow is my favorite villain.

First: Chris Pine as the Joker? Not Bad!
But I would rather see him as the Green Lantern.
Second: Catwoman and the Black Mask would be sweet! ;D

Seriously, since all of the crime lords wind up dead at the hands of other criminals during "The Dark Knight" I want to see Black Mask killed by Catwoman at the end of the third one.
