www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_9475.htmlWow, the Joker nothing like Nicholson's Joker, I. bet hes darker. Since the Joker won't be the only villain i hope they bring in Harley Quinn, or the Scarecrow again.

I doubt it will be Harley or such. Perhaps another Crime lord or Talia. But I wonder exactly what 'not Nicholson' Joker is...

It could be Rupert Thorne, if Talia is in it, i think they would also bring Ras back, maby with the lazuras pit. ALthough that doesnt really fit in with the whole "could happen in real life" theme begins had but im sure Nolan could make it work.

But if you really think about it, Ra's could have survived the train fall without having to be risen from the dead. Before Batman left he smashed open a window that was left wide open. after batman left Ra's had plenty of time to jump

True, i definatly think Ras will be in the sequal i wouldnt be surprised if he was in all of the sequals. I would be interesting to Have Talia be introduced early in the film, fall in love with Bruce, then in the end Bruce realize shes Ras's daughter. It could also be either Catwoman or Two Face. I think those would be good choices because they have the most connection with Bruce.

At the end of the train wreck, Ras like closed his eyes and started meditating. He was definately up to something. Was the Ras at the beginning, his bodyguard from the animated series? I think his name was Abu or something. LoL

His name was Ubu. Im not sure if it was his body guard. I alway thought one of the guys at the Bruce's party was Ubu.

Ubu is like Ra's bodyguard, best known in the animated series I think.

LoL IMO he wasn't meditating, just realising that he was screwed and that there was nothing more he could do, that he had been beaten, like he was resigned to his defeat.

I personally dont want a love interest in a movie. It usually takes the viewer away from the plot.

I don't like love interests either, but i know they'll put one in. That's why i either want Talia or Catwoman, because they are more than just a love interest they have background and theres a lot that can be done with them.

I dont like the idea of penguin, but maybe if they do him as one of bruce's rich "friends" and just a little short and fat. He is jealous of bruce and people making fun of him so he turns to crime.

[glow=red,2,300] And its fact that Goyer has put Jokre and Dent in 2!But Black mask and penguin hmmmm I dont see Goyer going with Penguin after what he has stated before! His looks are to unrealistic! Maybe if they got the look right and had him as a gangster like in Broken City! Black mask~ well its unGoyer to and unbeilevable to have someone live with a burnt face so if they do ,do him they will have a mask proberly or have him just as Sionis and not Mask! [/glow]

I think it'd be cool to have Penguin and Black Mask in the movie, and I really think they can pull it off. They can just make Penguin into the gentleman like character we've seen him as before, instead of making him the bird boy who bleeds black paint. They could do Black Mask, but do it before he has the skull head. My idea would be they're having a shoot out somewhere in Gotham and Batman comes in to break it up.

if Penguins in the movie then i think he should be portrayed the same way as in TNBA.
Black Mask, imo, should be done kinda like the comic book Dr. Doom. hes a crime lord who's a pretty boy. after getting his face scarred in a fight, he decides to wear a black, skull-shaped mask. unluckily for him the mask gets burned onto his face.

Penguin? I'm afraid it has too many connections with "returns". I mean, I loved Tim Burton's work and Danny DeVito fit the role perfectly for Burton's style, but it doesn't sit right with me in Nolan's style. I'd be keen to see Black Mask work. I can see it going well if it's done properly. Come on, how good would a creepy crime lord in an ebony mask be!?

Well this is restarting the Batman movie franchise so Nolan has the chance to do it right.

Penguin has a lot of potential IMO. He's not one of my favorite rogues gallery characters but I think if he is more of a gangster and an arms dealer for various crime families in Gotham I think that would be cool.
Also I knida feel this upcoming movie might be very similar in structure to the Long Halloween with different characters mixed in with a little bit of the Killing Joke. Oh well we will see.

dontcha think thats too similar to two face? no, i see it more like Dr. Doom. another possibility could be to just use the original version where he wears it to hide his identity, then later has his face burned.

[shadow=purple,left,300]2008 is going to be the best year ever. This Batman sequel sounds like it's going to be a pleasant kick-off!
Ryan Phillipe as Harvey Dent? Why not? I think he's a well-rounded actor, and I haven't objected to anything he's done. I thought he did a really good job in Gosford Park, at least.
I'm also not too worried about the Joker's portrayal. Something tells me we're going to see a more blunt, disturbing version of the character than we did in 1989, where he was an outright, in your face kind of villain. I'm very excited about all of this! ;D[/shadow]

It was announced long ago that he would have a small role as an arms dealer & would be completely realistic.
