oh yeah, forgot about Alfred taking Rachel home. but still, there might have been another way for him to get rid of the guests. Thomas Wayne wouldn't have been proud of the way Bruce did it.
and yes I understand the 'left for dead' bit now, but it was something my sister actually brought up over dinner after the movie, and i didn't have an explanation.

First of all the IMAX movie is awesome, BUT it does have 8 MINUTES of the original movie cut, so it would've been better to see it at a theater first and then IMAX. Sure, Bruce insulted his guests but think of the situation. His "friend" has just become his greates enemy and pland to destroy Gotham. At that point, you really don't care if you insult anyone or not because in the end you know thay you saved their lives. Also, I think he put the bat-symbol at the same time he put the "bat-ears" but he made the symbol himself.

oh, i wasn't aware that the IMAX version has some footage cut out. why did they do this?
so does it show him making the chest symbol and fitting it?

[shadow=purple,left,300]First, both the IMAX and the regular theatrical versions of the film are the same. I've checked.
Secondly, I finally saw this last night, in IMAX no less! This is the greatest incarnation of Batman to date. Personally, I loved Christian Bale as Batman. The voice was astonishing. Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul was also perfect. Cilian Murphy is a decent actor anyway, but I found his performance as Dr. Crane to be his best. The interrogation scene, where he kept muttering "Scarecrow" to mock Gordon, and the line "Dr. Crane's not in right now, but you can leave a message" gave me chills. Zsasz should have had a little bit more screentime, though, but I'm not complaining.
It looks like they've gotten everything right this time around. Gotham City looked phenominal. Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Cain were great supporting players, and I hope they get the same amount of screentime, if not more, in the sequel. The ending was also perfect. Probably the best comic book movie to date. There were only a few minor complaints, but I'm not going to get into details! 9.5/10! [/shadow]

Whoops!
I did remember reading somewhere that the IMAX version had been cut, but I guess not; My apologizies for false information.
I think he put the bat symbol in when he put the ears on the suit. I agree it WOULD have been better if they would've shown it, but I think that it doesn't diminish what this film accomplished AT ALL.

on HowStuffWorks.com, they have a couple of features, 1 about the tumbler, and 1 about the batsuit. Batmobile: www.howstuffworks.com/batmobile.htmBatsuit: science.howstuffworks.com/batsuit.htmwhen they explain the suit, they talk about the little radio/microphone in the ears, and says that the microphone makes Bruces voice into the menacing 'Bat-Voice'. what do you guys think? is the voice a function of the batsuit, or is it Bruces own way of acting as a different person so a) he isn't recognised, and b) he sounds intimidating?

Yeah this was the only flaw in the movie. As far as the one in BEGINS, it takes out all of the water supplys. Now, it should take out humans, but then again it is mentioned in the film that Wayne Enterprises were doing illegal stuff with that thing; perhaps they managed to make an emitter that didn't affect humans, just presuriced water...

there is no problem except the sequel is a big ?
i know they will do it just its potential is jumping around. it can be good if the studio still wants to make a good movie with good writers and directors etc. but if the studio comes in and says we wanna make money they will put a lotta worthless crap into it. thats what they did to blade trinity by introducin newbies and they did the same to jaws 2 and 3 the new fantastic four and the third jurassic park. they make barely good enough to draw a crowd in but dont mind their complaining. this is what they did to all the schumacher batman films they made it to be a mess just to make the mulah. hope they director has enough say to not let this franchise go downhill.

Well during begins it seemed that WB, Nola and goyer really respected everything that was truly batman, and they did begins right. If they are smart they will do it again. Begins did pretty good at the box office, and if they make a sequel that looks similar but better, they can make much more.

Well, I took some pics of the costume I wore at Batman Begins. Hope I don't look to ridiculous. That is awesome!
I just got back from watching Batman Begins again and I gotta say, it is definately alot better the second time around. The fight scenes seemed a bit slower and just every interaction between Gordon and Batman was awesome.
And like I think I might have mentioned before I dig Christian Bale's Bat-voice

I hope you get out this weekend to check it out, it shouldn't be that busy @ the movies with FF coming out...and I say shouldn't because it might be, I went to see BB this morning at 10:25am and the one theatre I saw it in held 208 people and there must have been atleast 100 people in there early in the morning, and when I left the movie theatre was packed. ???hey, this is my first post. i went to see Batman Begins on the opening day. I made my parents take me...they weren't too pleased being that we were on a once-in-a-lifetime vacation to Hawaii. but i was determined, haha. anyways, i was shocked. it blew all my expectations away. it beat spider-man, and is now on my TOP 5 FAVORITE MOVIES list. even my brother, who kept saying, "this is gonna be dumb," said he thought it was pretty good! i only had a few complaints...most of them about the look. i didn't really care for batman's costume (i think batman: dead end is the only live-action batman film that's nailed it), but when you look more at the cowl, you can see it was truly inspired by Tom Sale's Batman from Long Halloween. i think so at least. Ra's Al Ghul wasn't like 700 years old, and there was no mention of Lazarus Pits OR Talia! i thought a great suprise would have been for katie holmes to turn out to be Talia...but hey, just my opinion. and then the last thing, was that, in the comics, bruce wayne makes the vowe to defend his city the night his parents were slain; while in the movie it takes him years and only decides to become batman after confronting carmine falcone. i liked it both ways, i just think the comic version is a little more dramatic. but the movie version is really well thought out and realistic as well. these aren't even complaints, just some ideas i guess you could say. but yea, excellent movie. i'm so pumped for the sequel. i hear they're gonna cast the part of the Joker to either sean penn or Michael J. Fox's Dad from Back to the Future. he was also in that movie not to long ago with the rats...willard, i think. anyways...yea...

I really liked and enjoyed this film. I think they did a great job. Christian Bale made an excellent Batman and Bruce Wayne, probably one of the best actors or play the parts. The changes in the villains were a little difficult to watch, but I have to say that what they did in the movie really worked. I'm really hoping that there will be a sequel to this movie with Bale playing Batman again.

My GF and I saw it opening weekend and we both loved it! It was the best of all the Batman movies by far! I wasn't too happy with the Batmobile when I first saw it online but after seeing it in the movies, it was incredible. I have the Hotwheels 1:18th scale. I liked the way he fought. It waslike a swarm of bats everywhere at once and never staying still. I also liked how they incorporated the Joker. Chrisitan Bale did a fantastic job!! I can't wait for the sequel!

Just came back from my 4th viewing of the movie. I have to say...it's perfection...for the most part is the most perfect Batman film ever, and just gets better with each new viewing! I hope that they don't mess with anything in the sequel! Leave well enough alone WB!

I saw the movie a week after it came out. All I have to say is . It is pure perfection. It does justice to the Batman series. SPOILERS(highlight below if you want to read)I must say the Scarecrow is absolute perfection. I couldn't believe they incorporated the illusion spray like in the cartoon. My favorite part would have to be when he trashes the drug ring at the loading docks, and then when he visits the specialist to get his gear.

[glow=red,2,300]Maybe some very minor spoliers here..[/glow] Begins premieres here in Sweden tomorrow, July 27th. I saw it at a "sneak peek showing" some days ago. The swedish movie critics are not that positive as I would have hoped for, even though some of them really get it! ;D I guess the movie's gonna do well over here even though Batman isn't nearly as popular in Sweden as he is in the US, for several reasons. I loved the film of course, even though I don't see it as being flawless. But it's the best Batman movie by far! The mood of the film is fantastic, the cast is almost perfect. I just wish that Alfred someday could look like he does in the comics.. Christian Bale IS Batman/Bruce Wayne! I can't wait for the sequel and I bet I'm gonna be even more excited and follow the progress than with Begins.. The cons of the movie, in my opionion, is that Scarecrow and Batman aren't given more screentime. The movie could easily have been 20 minutes longer. I would have loved to see more of the moody and more lonely side of Batman than we get to see here. And (this is old news) why the close-ups on the fight-scenes? I wanna se Batman's moves! The movie left me wanting more, much more. That's a good thing of course! For the sequel I wish for a really evil and frightening Joker and less close-ups.. I give Begins four thumbs up.
