Nick Fury is building an army if you've bought any of the new marvel universes toys go enter the codes in the envolopes and it will explain where he is. thats not canon. the Fury Files stuff from Hasbro has nothing to do with whats going on presently in the MU. Fury is not hiding and he hasnt disappeared. he appears in a regular monthly title and is a major player in Dark Reign.

could be, but i have a feeling i know the answer and its an alias used during the 60s and she got the dates wrong, but then again it could be i've met a Batman question i cant answer. im eager to find out. the date is 1957. So nice try... by the way thanx bats i see you answered it and we just missed it as i was backtracking to the original question. yes he was Starman for half of an issue. i wouldnt exactly call that moonlighting as someone else during the 50s but it was a good question.by your definition of moonlighting then there's more than one answer to the question. he also used the alias of Noyes to test Alfred's loyalty during the 50s and he was also Robin in the 50s as i originally answered. he even impersonated The Collector during the 50s as well. and countless other one issue, backup tale, half issue appearances he made in other guises during that decade. good question, you had me thinking me hard, and i definitely overthought the question and wasnt thinking about that half issue when Professor Milo made him afraid of bats. your hint of being someone else post-crisis works for Robin and Noyes too.

Your just being mad I got you..... LOL...J/k...... I did give a hint that it was Starman by say he was bruce pre crisis and someone else post crisis. ;D Oh yeah and I know Fury files isn't canon I was joking silly. I though it better to joke about toys than sam jackson at the time.

^ my apologies. see i didnt know you were joking, but it does make sense since you do seem to know your stuff. i dont know your writing yet, so it may take awhile before i know when you're kidding around. and it was quite the good question, i like a challenge and i also like going back and having to re-read issues i've forgotten about. feel free to post more questions from anywhere in Marvel & DC.
now back to business since batman wants a question from me. here's a fun one for you, how many people (that we know about) has Tommy Mangles killed? and there is an exact number.

80? Two cows, a goat, and a rather large mess of poultry

^ haha. close, but 80 was the number given in his first appearance. he killed some more people since then, you basically just have to count them and add it to 80 to come up with the answer.

*sighs* I despise guessing games. How bout this: He killed more than The Cavalier, but fewer than the Tallyman or Victor Zsasz.

it realisticallym should be a number in the 100s, but since we can only go by what is printed in the comics and shown and told to us, the number is 87. i have every issue he has ever appeared in. i think he's a great character and needs to be utilized again.

Hobgoblin:Roderick Kingsley,Arnold "Lefty" Donovan,Ned Leeds(tho he was brainwashed by Roderick and wasn't Hobby full time) and there was one introduced in the Secret Wars, but I don't know if he ever named, and Ultimate Hobgoblin is Harry Osborn. Jack o' Lantern:Steven Levins,Daniel Berkhart and Maguire Beck (both using the alias Mad Jack)

lets get back to it with a couple of Gotham questions:
1. what's the name of the closest airport to Gotham City?
2. Arkham Asylum is located on an island in what river?
|
|
|
Post by batman1973 on Sept 17, 2009 16:23:31 GMT -5
1. Archie Goodwin International. 2. The Sprang River.

And to keep the fun poppin:
What part of G.C is Commissioner Gordon's House?
2. What are names of the Bridges that leads to Stately Wayne Manor?
|
|
|
Post by jlavaia on Sept 17, 2009 17:49:25 GMT -5
for # 1 i believe its in Old Gotham.
for # 2 its the Robert Kane Memorial Bridge. you can also go the long way and take the Trigate Bridge into Sommerset and take the Mooney Bridge to get over to Bristol, but why go that far out of the way.
and to keep it going more:
1. what's Jim Gordon's middle name?
2. what's the other building thats on the coast of the island of Arkham?

Technically you are right, but more specifically I believe Gordon's Home was in the "Tri-Corners" area.
1. Worthington. Which is interesting, in a Pulp Fiction comic, there was a cop named James"Wildcat" Gordon, which Les Daniels alluded may have been where the Commish got his name.
2. You got me.

Post by jlavaia on Sept 17, 2009 19:52:50 GMT -5
correct on # 1 and i didnt know that about the name and where it came from. and you are right about it being in Tri-Corner, Old Gotham is a large section of the city which only got named post-quake, i should have been more specific.
for # 2 its the D'Angelo Sewage Treatment Plant. that and Arkham Asylum are the only 2 facilities on the island.
and more fun:
1. where did the current Batwoman (Kate Kane) go to college?
2. the Aparo Expressway runs along Gotham's east coast. at one point it crosses water and seperates 2 different bodies of water that run into each other. Miller Harbor is on the west of the expressway. what body of water is on the east?
