They're not just rereleasing Freeze and Bane and repainting the Batman from Wave 3 are they? If they are, I'm just getting Batgirl, Man-Bat, Two-Face, and Clayface.

I'm really hoping that Batman pictured on the cardback is a black & grey repaint of wave 3 Bats. ;D
...and seeing how poorly Bane sold, I'm also hoping Mattel doesn't put too many Bane's in any case assortment.
I wonder if I should I start begging for help obtaining these figures already, since DCSH figures are so rare up here in Canada....

I wonder if I should I start begging for help obtaining these figures already, since DCSH figures are so rare up here in Canada.... The case assortments are up at Cornerstorecomics. At least the first 2 assortments are... The first case was supposed to have arrived yesterday 3/31/07 according to their estimate. Mix 999U (Specialty case) 4 X Knight Shadow Batman 1 X Two-Face 1X Camo Bane Mix 999 H (Mass retail case) Arrives 5/5/07 3 x Knight Shadow Batman 1 x Batgirl 1 x Two-Face 1 x Camo-Bane Now here's hoping I can find the blue costume Supergirl before these show up. I doubt I will though because the few Wal-Marts that get them are 24 hr stores. And the dept. Managers say that customers come in between 2-4 am and cherry pick the cases that are out on the pallets before they can put them on the pegs in the morning. So unless the guy who does the toy aisles at my local Stop & Shops gets a Supergirl from their warehouse/dist. when he puts in the order I doubt I'll see her. Stop & Shop breaks up the cases between their stores. Not all stores in the district get them and it's usually only 1 or 2 per store. And they only restock once one is sold. PJ

Yeah, no more Supermans for a few months, time for the Bat!
I did order one of each case as listed above from cornerstorecomics. I've been pretty happy with their prices & service thus far.

I beg to differ. Not at you personally but, I guarantee we will still see a sh*t load of Supermans on the shelves. The stores are getting to the point now where they won't put out any new product or series until they sell more of the older ones. I actually had a Target store manager tell me this load of sh*t the other day. I also noticed something weird..TRU stores have been putting up EXP stuff?? I asked an employee.."Where the hell was this stuff a year ago?"..He said nothing and walked away.

I actually had a Target store manager tell me this load of sh*t the other day This has apparently become policy at Targets. Some stores here have little signs on pegs advising customers staff cannot/will not retrieve or seek out product for anyone beyond whats on the shelves. Also they will not be restocking until acceptable / sizable shelf space has been cleared due to sell off of stagnating merchandise. On one hand you cant blame them, but on the other hand they wont be seeing me all that often anymore... and I'm a notorious for "impulse buying"

I hear ya BATLAW, I have stopped doing my figure hunts as often as I used to. I was at a Target today and they had a pallet with all this new stuff on it and one box had a street date for the 29th of this month. I had to leave and couldn't wait around to see what it was but, my friend went up there soon after I did and the only thing they put up was two boxes of Turtle stuff. My friend asked the employee where is all the other stuff that was on the pallet and the employee said.."Well, we really can't put up newer things even though they are in the same series until the older ones sell first". Okay, I can understand some of this logic but, if crap isn't selling why don't they clearance it out in a different section then put up the THE ITEMS THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT!!! I know TRU is starting to do this crap now too. It doesn't look good further down the road for collectors and kids. I have heard a lot of parents complaining about not finding anything new also. I don't know, I think online orders are starting to look better and better all the time. I love going on figure hunts and I probably still will to a point but, if it gets any worse my computer's hard drive will be doing some overheating this summer.

I understand to a point but the logic is flawed and filled with unrealistic expectations and unfortunate reprecussions for everyone. Just a shame. I'm not trying to unjustly bash or complain (if for no other reason than the futility of it lol). I would buy essentially all of these, but when finding them requires pure blind luck and or insane levals of time and effort (if not money too), then I dont care how cool they are... theyre not worth it. There will always be other cool figures. More important things to care about and devote time to.

If these old figures are going to remain peg warmers and the stores won't put out new stuff shouldn't the Dept. Manager be blamed for over ordering? I can't believe I have to miss out on waves because the store chain won't clearance out the umteen "The Riddler" (no offense ??Riddler?? ) and Camo Batman figures.

why are the images branded LoG? i'm assuming the original poster found these images, and did not take these pictures themselves.

Now it seems alot more of you are experiencing what Ive been dealing with for years now. EXP figs just popped up on my local Target shelves alongside the new stuff. TRUs also has EXP items. This is like that all the time in NE Ohio. I have also been told by workers at both TRUS and Target as well as WalMart (because I know someone who is a dept. mgr) that they do not stock on regular basis and old stock does sit in the back. Then all of a sudden they will start to force everything out and because their backroom inventory shows to be low, thats when they'll get one or two cases of the new stuff. The reason they dont get anymore is because it shows that the history of movement has been slow. I have all but stopped going toy hunting because of this, its just a waste of time and gas.

This is just a bunch of crap. I knew this was going to happen all over eventually. Well, Like I posted in a previous post...I guess I will be doing some online ordering this summer. Someone needs to tell the toy companies about this, I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy to know that their new product is just sitting in the back collecting dust!!!

Makes me wonder what else is sitting in the back? Amazing Spiderman stuff?? Spiderman Classics?? If I could afford to work at one of these stores I would try and find out what is back there, buy as much as I could, then quit!!

Someone needs to tell the toy companies about this, I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy to know that their new product is just sitting in the back collecting dust!!! I'm trying to think of the best way to break this to you guys...because I have a good understanding of the 'behind the scenes' business side of this situation. The toy companies are at the mercy of walmart and target, not the other way around. They can't do a damn thing about it, nor would they venture to. No retail orders - no shelves = no toy sales. Its up to the retailers to get their heads out of their asses...Mattel, Hasbro etc are not in a position to make demands, sadly. What do you think Toy Fair is for? Its not for the fans or consumers to see whats coming out, its for retailers to DETERMINE what they will carry. Hence why some product never makes it out of Toy Fair. Does that make sense? Well no...it doesn't..but does the situation seem more clear? lol

I used to Work at both Target and Toys r Us. Toys r Us will not put out a box of toys until they can fit a full case on the shelf. That was a couple years ago so that could have changed.
Target on the other hand, we just put stuff on the shelves, and backstocked what didn't fit. There was one thing there though from my days of working there, they would always say that when "the collectors" come in, just ignore them. Sometimes I would help them out, most of the time I couldn't because I would lose my job. Still Target is the best route for finding things at random times.

I'm really excited for this wave. I've found very few of the previous waves of the DCSH toys. My Walmart has NOTHING DC! Target just got a few new Supe's after two months of Bane warming the pegs. I have a suggestion for the more "well off" collectors. If the same toys are taking up space, just buy them so the new ones will come! Come on, help us out! Maybe we could try buying out the slow sellers and returning them a couple weeks later? Maybe then new figures would get ordered.

Now THOSE I some backdrops! They will be fun additions to keep and display.
The figures look good. I'm surprised to see a new head sculpt on the shadow Batman... as such I wish they wouldve went with the first series body / belt. Since I skipped that one originally I might get this one for the rangs?
Bane looks kinda cool in the camo but as expected, not gonna be worth it (at least not to me).
Two Face and Batgirl look great... but whats with the silver accents on her?
Heres hoping.

Batgirl- Wow, this is going to be nice for my collection.
Bane camo- Yeah, uh Bane shouldn't wear camo.
Knight Shadow Batman- While this figure looks nice, I'm gonna save my money. I have enough Batmen as it is.
Two-Face- Awesome! But I'm gonna avoid the variation.
I'm still waiting for those Joker and Catwoman figures though.
