Bring it on!
I would also be very happy to see Breyfogle's return to Bats!... What has he been doing anyway?

Breyfogle and Grant huh? How about Neal Adams? He'll be returning soon. Btw, Breyfogle is currently working on a book called Bitter Souls. I've skimmed thru it (since he made an appearance at one of my LCS recently). It really didn't grab me as a must buy, so I haven't checked it out in depth. There is a TPB coming out soon though which contains issues 1-6, so that might be worth a read.

He expects his run to be about a year in length. He also plans to introduce some new villains and reintroduce old favorites.

It looks great, but what's this about J.H. Williams III? I thought the artist was Rags Morales...At any rate, this looks awesome. I will follow both Morrison and Dini's storylines all the way through(unless I don't like them of course, but that's not going to happen)!

Dini talks his Detective issues: kingofbreakfast.livejournal.com/25257.html"J. H. Williams III is doing a kick-butt job on the art. His Batman is so cool it makes me shudder. I hope you dig his treatment of the Dark Knight as much as I do. Our first issue, #821, introduces a new villain named Facade. #822 guest stars The Riddler (though NOT as a villain) and #823 features Ivy. As for future issues, well, I have to leave a few surprises, right? Maybe some crafty Canadians can wheedle more info. out of me when I appear at the Calgary Comic Book Expo. next weekend." Wohoo, Ivy written by Dini in the regular universe, great!!!

Must admit, I've been enjoying Dini's run on Detective so far. I mean they're mostly pretty throw away one shot stories, but they've been quite enjoyable all the same.

I found out about these Wednessday at the mall(which fortunately houses my local comic book store) I picked up 826 &827. I need to catch up on the other issues. Dini's an excellent writer, & Biancha's covers are amazing. The int. art is iffy sometimes (only in ish 826) particularly with The Joker. Dini's Joker is amazing, psycotic & frightening, yet gleefully hilarious at the same time, as he mows down hobos & a woman doing her shopping in a stolen SUV. I haven't been following recent comics so the whole Robin thing was confusing. But I'll definatly be buyin this from now on.

I don't mind Kramer's drawing, but there were some moments in #826 that seemed off for Joker. However, the story was great; Joker is such a great character.
The latest issue, with Riddler and Batman working on a case was awesome since the story was an investigation...plus, the Riddler and Batman had great exchanges.

Dini's writing is superb, but Cramer often falls short. Dini had me sold on The Joker being a homicidal lunatic what with running people over & robbin a McDonalds. But most of Cramer's art didn't capture it well. The first page with Robin was great. & towards the end he had some great Joker panels but overall it's a tad lackluster.

I do feel that Kramer's art has improved since the first issue he was on, and I thought the most recent issue's art was very well done, but he still leaves a bit to be desired at times. I really hope that J.H. Williams returns to the book, even if it's not full-time, just just every now and then for an issue.

Tomorrow starts the Siege with part 1!...well, it's not a Paul Dini story, but it is a Detective Comics issue and it does sound like it will be a good one.
