The second episode of season 4, "Team Penguin" will air this Saturday, September 30th (also my son's 4th birthday! ironic?) Jeff Matsuda has given us the following tidbits here on the site about this episode: "Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words, the crew and I really appreciate them. I hope you all enjoy the next episode, it's a pretty funny romp that we enjoyed making. Beware the Killer Moth! Ha ha."and "I hope you all enjoy "Team Penguin" It's a lot more of a comedic episode, but I'm a huge fan of diversity, much like the off kilter comedic episodes of X-Files. There season will cover the spectrum of emotions from dark to fun to dramatic and back again. We're happy you guys are here to take the ride with us!"Here is Team Penguin!:

Having seen it from a less than legal source i cant complain but not my sort of episode exactly. Seeing Penguin,Croc, Firefly, Ragdoll,Bane together was i guess a thrill and some nice batgirl meets robin scenes but iv been spoiled how can you beat Zucco played by Mark Hamill? I know The Riddler should lead the injustice gang! I belive Team Penguin was just an excuse to have one Penguin story each season. He and Joker crop up all ways in The Batman lol Good by my standards but i've been spoiled

[shadow=green,left,300]The Batman airs at 8:30 for me too. I liked the episode, I hope we see more appearences of Team Penguin, that it wasn't just a one time thing... If I had written it Killer Moth would have been in at least one more episdoe before metamorpohsizing into Charaxes... That was a little bit too fast. However, in my opinion, they couldn't have done the part with Batman revealing his identity to Batgirl any better. I liked how he was just all matter-of-factly "She's Barbara Gordon..." That was funny. Also, I found it very comical when they all were thinking of better names then "Team Penguin"
Ragdoll: How about... villains united? Penguin: How about you SHUT UP?!
Very Funny.

PLOT: After countless humiliations at the hands of the Batman, Penguin realizes that while he may not be able to take down the Dark Knight alone an all-star team of Gotham's most dangerous villains might just do the trick. While trying to stop this powerful force Batman must deal with team building issues of his own as Batgirl and Robin meet for the first time. REVIEW: "Who's the pixie?" - Batgirl "Robin. Official partner to the Dark Knight." - Robin The Season Four premiere of The Batman surprised and changed people's views of the show. Those who liked the show before, loved it. And those who disliked it or hated it before, enjoyed it now. Now for this next episode, we get.....the Penguin. Yes, again. Plus, now that got Robin here, time for him and Batgirl to meet. The story was simple: Penguin has had it with losing with Batman. So getting ideas from a movie, he creates a supervillian team to handle the problem. Penguin's Injustice Gang includes the members: Penguin (of course), Firefly, Killer Croc, Ragdoll, and Killer Moth (although he mostly makes coffee for Penguin, he then turns into a moth monster thanks to a freak experiment). Bane appeared, after.......so many episodes where he wasn't since the second episode of Season One. But he was there in the beginning just to fought by the three bat-heroes. So he wasn't on the team at all, something Bane fans would be disappointed. And I know people will remember a bad TB episode in Swamped. I thought of that when I realized Croc was returning. Which I why I didn't get the Strikes comic with him in it. Luckily, his appearence bad wasn't bad at all. Also, we got a DCU reference as the name to this team was offered to be changed into Villians United. Until Penguin shut him up (that being Ragdoll). In Season Three, Batgirl appeared and wanted to be by Batman's side. However problems occur to make her request sorta...delayed. So when Robin appears with Batman & Batgirl already there, of course Batgirl would get jealously. However that ended with this episode as Batgirl learned Bruce and Dick were Batman & Robin and got her wish to get into the batcave. So now developments with her, and the other two, are happening (FINALLY!). This will change people's thoughts on her. If there is one thing people, like or hate, had with the show was Penguin. Sure Penguin is one of Batman's rogues, and one of the well known ones, but many had problems with the fact that he appeared most times than he should've. However, while he seems to have one episode this season (something people would love), this time he's doing something different than stealing: creating a supervillian team. Now when I heard that, I thought of JLA quickly but I knew that wouldn't be the case. Overall, we got the first supervillian team for Batman to fight, Robin introduced to Batgirl and Batgirl herself in now WITHIN the team as her wish was granted. Changes continue to occur in the show and more people will begin to love it even more. This was a fun episode, and was funny at times and I can't wait for the next. RATING: 8/10

Did anyone else have a problem with the broadcast signal of this show today? It almost looked like it was being scrambled, with very low volume levels, too. LOSH had the same problems, and it continued into Xiaolin Showdown as well. Just wondering...

Okay, just finished the episode.
This is actually another one of my favorites of the series because of the level of fun.
I loved Killer Moth, his goofy voice made my day and I loved his chemical design.
The interaction between Robin and Batgirl went quite smoothly for Batgirl's return and we finally got to see more of Robin in action, though I am now concerned on exactly how mature he'll be.
Even without Penguin's revamped eye, he looked awesome and it was great to see all of the season 2 villains again. Loved seeing Bane but was hoping he'd be in the gang.
Another smooth sailing for The Batman!
10/10
Oh yeah, and definately one of my favorite parts was when all 3 of them were finding out each other's identity. Especially when Batgirl was acting all arrogant.
I'll be quite frank, I wasnt a big fan of the season 4's first episode's parallelogram eyes and was very happy to see much more use of the triangular original eyes.

[shadow=green,left,300] Yay!!! I got to see it with no problems, I hope this is the same way I see "Riddler's Revenge"! I loved this episode seeing Killer Croc is my second favorite villain, and it was just too funny! I laughed like crazy! Firefly: " How about Gotham Gangsta'z?" LOL!!! Penguin was trying to get Freeze, Joker, Riddler, and other villains to join.
Killer Croc: *looks through some booking shots*So we still need our fifth. Penguin: *snatched sheets* Recruitment is my job, thank you very much... and besides they all said no already." *Falls on the floor laughing* Riddler said no lol, Joker, and Gotham's top villains besides Croc said no! Haha! This is definately the BEST episode I have seen yet! A 10 out of 10, I still can't stop laughing, Killer Moth was so good, his laugh was so hilarious!
Killer Moth: " Now as for Penguin!" Penguin: " *squirms and is and is cowaring in fear* *villains are scared seeing he is bigger than them* Killer Moth: " He's our leader! So you guys are going to start showing him the respect *spits* he deserves!" LOL! Batgirl and Robin are getting along better now, I love Batgirl's attitude like I'm not going to tell you my identity... then Batman goes and says, "She's babara Gordon" lol! I'll have screencaps later. [/shadow]

They also inverted back the messed up R emblem when Robin first jumps in, so that's a good catch they made Lol Katherine, I loved ALL those parts too, especially the Killer Moth part. And didn't anyone find Killer Moth similar to The Toilenator from Kids Next Door? A wannabe villain who's been hired to pour the coffee for the villains :-P

My new favorite epsiode. I loved it! The interaction with all three really made this episode a gem. But to me, now with both batgirl and robin, Batman is a flat dark charecter. He barley agnoliged batirl, i expected some "i know you fell hurt, so im gonna tell u my secret identity". All the charcter we got in the first 2 seasons seems gone. But it didnt really bother me. I loved killer moth and his charaxes form. Hopefully we will see him again. It was great to see Killer croc, ragdoll, and firefly again. My favorite scene was in the batcave "shes barbara gordon" Hopefully she will be able to hang out and train there a lot. Overall i loved it. I cant wait to see more!! 10/10

Fun little episode. Killer Moth was pretty funny and I loved seeing Bane and Firefly again!
Batgirl wasnt nearly as annoying as I remember and I'm still really liking this Robin. Most importantly though, I'm really enjoying the subtle alterations to Batman's character.
Even with these intentionally lighter episodes, I'm sensing the absence of a previously dominating "albatross" in the writing arena. I couldn't be happier!
Team Penguin isn't going to be my favorite episode or even preferred type of episode, but it is re-watchable and enjoyable nonetheless thanks to whatever changes have taken place behind the scenes.

This was a great episode for me because I had not seen any episodes which had Croc, Firefly, or Ragdoll. I had missed out on the entire 2nd season. I'll probably pick the DVD up though. Anyway, the voice casting for Croc, Ragdoll, and Killer Moth were superb. The only weak character, voice wise, was Firefly. I just couldn't stop thinking of Batman Beyond when he spoke. His design and his weaponry more than made up for this though. The story was cool, but a little cheesy. The whole movie scene at the beginning and end was a bit much for me. I really like the cast that was assembled. It was cool to see that Batman doesn't need the Batbot anymore to take on Bane. Killer Moth was a fun character. I hope we get to see his pathetic version more often. While his Charaxes form was neat, he was so cool as a "wannabe villain". The revelation to Batgirl made sense and was a better idea than her simply figuring it out. I'd love to see more team-ups like this. If they could just keep Croc, Ragdoll, and Firefly, and add in people like Maxie Zeus and Clayface, they would be unstoppable (maybe add in Mad Hatter or Black Mask depending on how these two are interpreted for the show). Ragdoll and Croc are two of my favorites now. Good stuff. While I prefer a darker atmosphere like the "A Matter of Family", this episode was very well done. My hat is off the creative team for doing a great job this season.

Another great episode from Season 4. I thought it was hilarious along with great action. Moth was funny as heck and even when he turned into Charaxes he was still himself. It was great to see Bane back, even if it was for only 5 minutes. My favorite part was when they were all in the batcave and they were all figuring out their identities. Even when Batgirl wasn't going to tell, Bruce said it anyway. Now that was funny.
Another 10/10.

This season continues to impress me. (thanks to "A Friend" I saw A Matter Of Family") Team Penguin was an excellent episode. The way Killer Moth was done reminded me of that episode in B:TAS with the Condiment King, & the Pack Rat, etc. It was perfect. I really injoyed the way Bane was implemented into the episode. Charaxes was pretty awesome. I wasn't expecting for him to be introduced for quite a while, it was a great surprise. Overall a perfect episode. I give it a

Gotham Gangsta's, Villians United. I epescially loved that DCU ref. I loved how Killer Moth had a very Napolean Dynamite presence with him. The whole "I have skills thing" was hilarious. I really liked seeing Ragdoll, Killer Croc, and Bane again. This is my favorite ep ever. DrGreenEvil
