Comics Continuum has reported casting is underway for the next toon from WB Animation... LOSH. Despite the lack of any official announcement or confirmation on the LOSH series, Lighning Lad's voice has supposedly been cast. It is still unknown what "form" or style this show will resemble or what if any continuity it will belong to. Like many, (despite not being a fan personally of LOSH) I would prefer it to follow the "Timm-verse". But its still anybodies guess. (I will be rather ticked to learn a JLU episode ("Far From Home" / which I consider the worst ep of the season) was doubly "wasted" for no real purpose). Heres the link... and we might as well tap this as the "official" LOSH thread for better or worse eh!? www.comicscontinuum.com/index.htm

I actually just saw that the other night on another websight and debated on linking it. Unless you can vouch for that "insider" I'll take it with a grain of salt... if for no other reason than I dont wanna believe its accurate lol. Though it does show a strong resemblence to one of the cover artists work on an early JLU comic? (dont know which). Im still not sold on the whole idea myself yet even.. and that pic (if real) doesnt help lol. On a side note now, the rumor mill is confident the Doom Patrol is essentially "replacing TT"? Cant say I'm any more excited about that idea than I am about LOSH

Sounds like where getting all of the lower heroes now. That is so lame. We want the big names. Not the LOSH and the Doom Patrol. I hope they do a good job. I just can't see this being as good as TT and JLU.

Well im glad DC is making shows with less known superheroes. But on the same note none of these are just sounding that interesting. Doom Patrol or LOSH. Why cant they do like a Green Arrow show or just push up the new Superman cartoon we all know is coming out? DrGreenEvil

I think we'd all feel more comfortable about Doom Patrol and LOSH if JLU and TT were still going to be on the air! They're hardly adequate replacements.
I don't know Batlaw..I've seen a lot of pre-production work..and this one looks legit. It would be sad for someone to go to all the hard work to make something look so unappealing.

Nothing will ever, and I mean EVER, replace Justice League! /\/\att said that Paul Dini was working on something besides Detective Comics, so we could still get something great, if I know what /\/\att's talking about.

That pic LOSH doesn't look too exciting. I hope it will be better in motion. I'm not convinced this is for the real LOSH either.

If theyre seriously gonna try and sell something like LOSH and or Doom Patrol (especially after JLU and TT) they need to really POP and be something special and impressive and worthy. Until I see it I cant judge, but so far if thats the real deal it's not gonna cut it for me.

HA! I need to trust my instincts and eyes lol... in cruising the web Ive read that JLU comic cover artist "Ben Caldwell" did apparently do some prelim / concept stuff for LOSH toon and supposedly THAT image is a "leaked" piece? Caldwel has also done work on Star Wars Clone Wars. The first thing I thought of upon seeing that sketch were the covers to JLU comic #'s 5-6! lol In other LOSH news, further net surfing lists more VA casting includes Timber Wolf and it was somebody named "Andy Milder" as Lightning Lad. The show could possibly be ready by September? Show's title is also in debate. Could be Superboy and the LOSH? Or Supergirl? or both could be featured? I hope for SB but then WHY SET IT UP THROUGH JLU IF ITS NOT CONNECTED!? (sorry had to get that outa the way) I dont know, Im more than happy to check it out due to it's DC origins and connections, but Ive never cared for these characters Etc. and based on what we're seeing, Im just not expecting much now either.

Not wild 'bout the pic but who cares. Nothin set in stone yet.
I'll give the show a chance. I'd rather have crap DC show over no DC show. I've always loved the Legion for absolutely no reason and i've enjoyed the current series in comics. It may have it's flaws but it's better reading then half the other stories offered and it's nice to have a separate contuity.
As for the new possible cartoon. I'm psyched. Even if the art is bad as long as the story and animation are good i'll be fine. I just hope it's not too kiddie friendly like TT. I don't care for a story about friendship and trust i wanna see some Legion savin' the earth with full force. Also i don't see a reason for bit...er complaining about the change of the status quo. Nothing can live up to JLU. Nothing can live up to BTAS. Standard fact. Times change and i'll just roll with them.
It would be nice to see art different from past ones. Bruce Timm and co. have done thier fair share of work and i know they're probably exhausted, give 'em a break. Teen Titans mix of anime/watever it was was shocking but yea it just doesn't work rite. I don't care to see Matsuda take on LOSH, just doesn't seem fluid. So hopefully they'll just try something all together new. I know this is heresay but isn't that what the idea of the LOSH was? To rebel against the status quo and take a stand to bring back the ideals of old heroes?
Who knows this show could be the next superfriends or the next BTAS.

Not to get entirely off topic, but Ive been thinking lately (no doubt thanks to recent Batman/Superman comics) how cool would a new Batman Beyond comic be!? and to have Dini take part! WOO HOO! fanboy glee!~ obviously would have to take place on another "earth" alternate timeline etc. but sweet bajeesees a regular full on DC Batman Beyond title would KICK!

Not sure if this is at all related, but Dini posted on his blog recently that a fairly high-profile Disney project he was working on has been scrapped due to the acquisition of Pixar. He's not upset about it, as the Pixar thing is good for animation in general. Obviously not Bat-related, but that's one less big project he had in the works.

It was also mentioned on Comics Continuum that Legion of Superheroes will hit Kids WB first.
I'm honestly not interested in this toon unless someone bat-related is involved...and it doesn't look as though there will be...

Nope, I'm not at all familiar with the LOSH but the only real connections I've ever been aware of were with the Super-family... primarily Superboy, which to my understanding now, is who this new series will focus on? (not Supergirl). And assuming by all appearences this wont be affiliated with the "Timm-verse", theres no real reason to even hope for potential minor "crossovers". That very prospect is what gave me at least some hope and interest in this upcomming show. I'm still gonna give it a "onceover", but at best I'm seeing it as "dumbed down" Teen Titans in space but with less interesting and sillier characters lol Sorry, all due respect to their history and nostalgia, but personally I've always found the LOSH just a little too silly for me.

As far as I know /\/\att, there are no Batrelated characters in the Legion. I realize that traditionally there isn't...but they could always throw in something like Batgirl etc. to make it more marketable...I could see networks suits doing that, lol

I've always found the LOSH just a little too silly for me. Aww, come on Troy! How could you not love LOSH? Just looking at the great characters it gave us! Matter-Eater Lad, Chameleon Boy....ooohh, and BOUNCING BOY! I mean, how could you not love a fat kid whose power is to GET FATTER on demand!! Hmm....silly doesn't quite cover it, huh? Here is a useless bit of LOSH trivia, though. Did you know that the feature film "The Karate Kid" had to pay DC Comics for the use of the name due to, you guessed it, the fact that there is a Legion member known as...Karate Kid? Boy, I suck for knowing that.....

Ah yes!... how could I possible forget Matter-Eater Lad!? I mean, with a name like that, it has to be brilliant! lol i know i know, it was a more inocent time, but yeesh lol Sorry, the whole concept always seemed more fitting of the "M" Co.? : )~ But alas, I do plan on checking it out. I actually think I heard that bit about the Karate Kid?

I hope there's not a batman type thrown in to LOSH. Doubt there will be but i just hope there isn't. I'm a bat fanatic along with the rest of you but he or anyone along his lines would not belong. He/they are not meant to be flyin around in space. Timberwolf fills in well enough so i hope the batsy character stays out.
I hope if they make this into a series that it fits between the maturity/seriousness of TT and JLU/Timm cartoons.

Today the Continuum posted a working logo for the show and more news: www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0603/09/index.htmThree things have occured in my brain on this show and what it is concerning where is it in the other shows and timelines. These are in order of which I believe would be true: a) Its seperate show like Teen Titans b) Its a take on the SuperBOY before the SuperMAN new series c) Somehow it takes place in the Timmverse and what occurs here happens before he became Superman in STAS.
