Punch Packing is on sale? I thought that they'll release the second wave later. Oh, well! Can't wait for it to arrive in Bulgaria.

"2-up" is short for "twice up," meaning something that is rendered by an artist that will ultimately be produced at 50% scale reduction. Sculptors regularly sculpt action figures at twice the produced size to maintain a high level of detail. The figures are then scanned, and the molds are made from these scan reductions. So these "2-up" figures are based on the actual sculpture (12" original for a 6" fig.) Back in the golden age of comics, artists also did their drawings at 200%, although original comic art is done at a smaller scale reduction now. Thank you for the explanation and Janus, the new Joker you found, is that the movie-accurate 5" Joker (it looks like Heath), or is it just a purple-suited version of the cartoony figure we've already seen? also, with the Movie Masters Thug figures with the large masks in the evidence bag, why didn't they make the actual figure's head the same as the mask, instead of giving us the exact same figure but with a different mask? what use is that to anyone? it would have been better to make 5 different masks on the actual figures, plus large collectible mask, because at least we could then display 5 thugs with the Joker. it just looks silly with 5 identical thugs with the Joker. it wouldn't have cost them much more to do it that way instead. there are 5 different masks so they should have made 5 different thugs for us to collect.

Punch Packing is a repaint of the Destructo-Case Joker; his accessory is a boxing glove projectile that fires from a missile launcher.
There is a small change to the packaging. The light blue field behind the figure is darker - it matches the blue of The Dark Knight logo. Also, there is no advertisement for DCHeroZone on the front. It looks a little nicer but the packaging still doesn't "pop".

Thank you for the heads up, Jokermatt. I tried to post earlier but our modem kept timing out.
Wetstereorebel, it was the Woodruff store. I only bought one Punch Packing Joker, so that left about eight or nine.

Does wave 2 of the basic figs have a normal black suited Batman, or are they all multicolored repaints?

2 of the figures are all black just like the one in series 1, 2 are Begins repaints and 1 DK repaint. Plenty of purple Jokers on the shelf. NO Movie Masters.

Yeah, I just got back from Wal-Mart and there were plenty of purple Jokers, but even more of a green camoflage Batman. All the Movie Masters were gone (I guess they finally sold the dozen Thugs that have been lingering on the shelf for a month).

is there a movie-accurate 5" Joker figure? so instead of the cartoony Joker we've all seen, can we buy a 5" Joker that looks like the 6" MM Joker?

I found series 2 of the basic 5" Dark Knight toys today at Wal-Mart . I picked up the Grapnel Launcher Batman (basic) & Punch Packing Joker (purple suit) I might give the grapnel the the 14" Action Cape Batman as it might be into scale with him. Grapnel Launcher Batman - Punch Packing Joker - Rest of the wave -

What's the price of the basic figures? Is it possible for someone to calculate the Punch Packing Joker figure + shipping to Bulgaria and PM me. If it's not too expensive I might ask someone to buy one for me and I'll pay back with a money order, because I'm not sure if I'll even find him in Bulgaria and I'd really like to get my hands on him, now that I've got the Staff Strike Batman (Thanks, trashmaster)

They were either $7 or $9 at Wal-Mart. I don't remember which as I was there picking up a bunch of items for our vacation and just threw them into the cart. So I didn't really look at the price.

You mean the Movie Masters? They're going to be shown at I think it's Comic-Con on July 25th-27th, so I'd imagine they'd be released towards the end of August.

And the Begins Batmobile was about 113 leva, which is about 95 bucks and instead of becoming cheaper like the basic figures it went up to 145! I hope this one isn't going to be as expensive!
