Anyone found any easter eggs yet (if there are any that is)? I don't know if these are "easter eggs" or not, becuase they were not really hard to find, but when you do find them you see a "Finder's Keepers" screen then the clip starts. When you are watching the second disc it starts with the comics screen on the second screen where Scarecrow jumps out at Batman and says BOO! hit down on your remote and a small part of the wall will light up hit enter and you can see clip of David Goyer talking about how he had to keep it serect that he was writing the moive. On the fourth screen the oe with two pics of Scarecrow with a lighter, push down and his eyes will light up, you get the smae "Finder's Keepers" screen and you get to see a small little clip about making a digital Batman for the movie. Seventh screen - ("Finders Keepers" screen ) Batman is face down on the ground push left it will highlight "Body Armor" push down and the water under Batman will highlight hit enter you will see a short video of the stunt guys doing stuff. As I said before these may or may not be "easter eggs" That's all I found so far.

Just got it, and I love it just as I did when I saw it in theaters. I actually thought Falcone was a character they made for the movie, but after reading the mini-book, huh, the jokes on me.
10 OUT OF 10! 100%! A+! NEED I GO ON?!

WOO HOO, GOT IT TODAY, I've never been excited for the release of a dvd in my life before this! (didn't know which thread to put it in, so have put it in both) went round a few shops today looking for the best deal. Blockbuster had the cheek to charge £15.99 for the single disc version, while everyone else didn't even have the single disc, they all had the 2 disc version for between £13.99 and £15.99. In HMV, they had the 2-disc version for £17.99, and also a special 'HMV-exclusive' 2-disc-plus-lenticular-image-cover-plus-mini-comic, for the same price. the UK lenticular image is smaller than the US one. I got 10% off for being a student, so it came down to £16.20. so anyone in the UK, go to HMV, they had many many copies of the special version, more than the 'normal' 2-disc copies, and if you get a discount too, even better. some pics: with all the advertising stickers after I peeled them off, but still sealed comic alongside the dvd case after removing the plastic image from 1 angle from the other angle back of cardboard box comic front of dvd case booklet and disc 2 disc 1 the presentation is awesome, really well thought out. they haven't been lazy, they put hard work and effort into it, and its very much appreciated. from the 'living' comic menus, along with the music and sound effects, to the animated menus when you select something , very nicely done. a commentary from Nolan & Goyer would have been a nice touch though, and to me, seems the only thing they missed out, apart from maybe a few deleted scenes. got 3 easter eggs so far, the 1st one on page 2, in the little crack between where it says 'BOO' and Batmans face, the 2nd on page 4, when you select Scarecrows eyes on the right hand side of the screen, where he's saying 'Even Bats', and the 3rd on page 7, if you select Batmans shadow in the middle comic strip. you can tell where they are if you watch it on your computer, the pointer turns into a hand when you can select something. and there are shortcuts to each of the special features throughout the comic strip menus, like clicking on the villains names, or on other specially highlighted words. EDIT: forgot to add that it doesn't have the Jimmy Fallon spoof from the MTV Movie Awards, that must be only for the US releases. on disc 1 its only the movie and trailer.

The Jimmy Fallon spoof was funny as hell! Napolean Dynamite is Batman? :oAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! My favorite feature, along with the Genesis of The Bat on disc two.

After reading part 1 in the mini-comic, I decided to get THE LONG HALLOWEEN graphic novel. It seems like a great story.

ooh, thats cool!
i made sure to get in the stores to pick my copy up on release day, just in case they have any special promotions or giveaways, but they don't do anything like that over here in the UK, its just like "here's the dvd, buy it and get out!".
they could have arranged to get some nice Bat-items to give away when you bought the dvd, but they couldn't be bothered.

Did this guy watch B&R, or did he just see it? Begins was great. Clooney sucked.

I gotta tell you, I just love playing that final scene on the rooftop between Batman and Gordon over and over.
I was disappointed there was no commentary, though. I also found the extras disc difficult to navigate but whatever (maybe I'm doing something wrong).

@ Batdan, you know the Begins logo in the corner has a left and right button on it? use that to skip from page to page of the 'comic', then press down to highlight a feature (if there is one on that page), or simply skip right to the end page (page 14 i think) and you will find an icon that looks like a page of writing, and in there all the features are in a list, so its easy to find whichever feature you want..

Although the effort is appreciated i doubt we need the exact same post on 2 separate threads.

@ Faithfulbutler, I put the post in both threads because for some reason, there are 2 thread about exactly the same thing, and some people might only visit one of them, so they'd miss this finding.

yeah, unless you've memorised on which page each feature is on, you have to skip to the end to the list. maybe that would've been slightly better on the first page in the corner or something.

Hi, Can anyone tell me why this thread has become the official movie and dvd talkback batman begins thread? When i had started a dvd talkback and news thread months ago with details and everything?? This thread was originaly just a talkback for the movie and then my thread gets screwed over?!?!? I would like to know why many threads that get taken down are mainly threads started by non-members of staff!?! I am not wanting to annoy anyone but i would like to know why the Oficial DVD thread was blocked and the Movie Talkback changed?! SRA

We need to leave the rest of the forum open for discussion and news on the upcoming sequel. There's no conspiracy to lock threads by non-staff members. [shadow=purple,left,300]I just saw "Batman Begins" on DVD again. I am still impressed by how good this movie really is. I haven't had time to watch any of the special features, but I'm gonna take a whack at it this weekend.
One thing I've come to hope for, though, is the return of Scarecrow in a sequel. I think a fully-costumed Scarecrow would be awesome. Plus, since they never explained what happened with him at the end of "Begins," it leaves room for his return. Just as long as it makes sense.[/shadow]

yeah that would be good.
in the conversation at the end of Begins, Gordon tells Batman that "we still haven't picked up Crane, or half of the inmates that escaped from Arkham", and Batman says "We will, we can bring Gotham back".
it would be nice to see them find Crane at some point in the sequel.
and I agree, it plays really well on DVD, you pick up a lot of things you may have missed in the cinema.
I only just noticed the big blue '30' in the background when Rachel goes to see Bruce on his brithday and gives him the present.
also you can watch it frame by frame to see how the grapnel gun wire works, how he attaches the gun to the back of the belt, then he brings the wire round to the front and hooks it into the little circular pulleys, which will make the gun carry him upwards without him holding the gun.

well, I did my part, i bought it on the day of release!
about any potential 'missing' or unused scenes, you know in the trailers we saw Bruce walking in the mountains in Bhutan, and there is his voiceover of him saying
"the night my parents were killed, i caught a glimpse of something, i've looked for it ever since, travelled the world, searched in all the shadows, and there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop unitl it gets revenge......ME"
well at the end, when he says ME, it shows Bruce actually saying it, so was the whole speech supposed to be in the movie, but they left it out, and just used the voice for the trailer?
where would that scene have gone?
it could have gone when he deciced he's going to become a crime fighter, or it could also have gone in after he has become Batman, near the end of the movie
does anyone know the correct place that scene would have gone in? who was he talking to? just Alfred in the cave?

As we all know, Barbara Gordon was listed in the end credits of Begins. Some of you may think it's the Barbara we all know and love as Batgirl. But let's remember something. In the comics, Gordon's wife is also named Barbara, and I believe the baby that was in their house was their son, Jim Jr. And it turns out that Barbara is adopted by Gordon after Barbara leaves. The truth hurts, I know.

you guys have GOT to check this ebay seller out, he's really slating the film, saying its the worst he's seen in the last 6 months, and he's saying 'Bring Back George Clooney!' What a dumbass! Seriously, his reasons for bashing Begins were completely unfounded. Everything he said made him sound like he just wanted to complain about something. And not only does this guy have no taste, but did he really want someone to buy the dvd? Sound smore like he was trying to persuade people not to buy the item he himself was selling...

In Batman Begins how come it seems when Rachel is given a larger and more concentrated dose of The Scarecrow's fear gas she seems to handle it alot better than when Batman got shot with it in the Narrows? Just curious, did anybody else notice that?
