Wasn't there talk when this line was first started that it was going to cover other WB comic movies after the Dark Knight figures were made. Like the other Batman movies and the Superman movies The question was presented many times since the Movie Masters line was revealed, but unfortunately all we ever got from Mattel was their age old answer of "its a possibility that we will look at in the future". I mean, give us something here, thats all Mattel ever says, in any of their Q&A's on any of the collector sites. They never give a definite answer of yes or no. They never tell us if we are going to get what we want. The other toy companies do give legit, straight answers to the collectors. Mattel gives b.s.
Considering we have some industry poeple that visit here on the site I hate saying this, but you all do need to hear this. Both collectors and kids will buy Batman toys, but you have to actually make them and distribute them!

The Mattycollector thing wouldnt suprise me one bit, and in all honesty, that may be the only logical way to go with these.

I dont find the characters entertaining. Surely that's not the case for The Joker? Nolans version of the Joker is the only character that I did find entertaining, but only to a certain degree.

As much as I like the cartoons and the live action versions of Batman, nothing will compare to the comic books. I enjoy that medium far too much. The art, the writing. being able to flip back and forth admiring the panels of art. I dont need to have every little detail of a fight or person to person confrontation shown to me. The panels of a comic set up the main components of the story, you use your imagination to fill in the little details. I feel thats something thats been lost on the recent generations. Imagination. Seems like people now need to be spoon fed everything.

Not to put panic into anyone, as there has been no official statement from Mattel on this. Hopefully they will see this and we can get a response, Seems that EntertainmentEarth has sent out emails to those who have preordered the MM's. Heres what it says:
Thank you for ordering from Entertainment Earth. We have been notified by the manufacturer that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of Batman: The Dark Knight Movie Masters Wave 5 Case, (Item MTP6167A), because they have discontinued production of this item at this point in time. The item has been removed from your order.
I know a couple people have sent emails to BBTS and one of the other online vendors to see what their stand is on this, but EE has pulled all pics and ordering info from their site.

OUTRAGEOUS!!!
HaHa! I love it! "Too psycho", "Too campy", thats awesome.
I really, really dig the retro villain designs, and did he say, Mr. Zero! Thats an interesting throw back. I would LOVE to have figures based on all these designs.

I'm guessing it'll be over the top and cheesy. I still can't get used to Diedrich Bader's voice. I actually miss 'the Batman'. That show really tried to take Batman seriously. This show is fun, but it sadens me sometimes that its the only Bat-toon on the air. See, this is what I love, how the many different versions can connect to some but not to others. See, I couldnt get "into" The Batman". There were certain things that I liked, but overall, I cared less about it. Now, with the Brave and the Bold, I absolutely love it and cant get enough.

All posts not pertaining to the main topic have been either edited or deleted. We are discussing and analyzing the different factors that contribute to the love/hate opinions that people have towards the Dark Knight movie.
I will say this one last time, if you do not want to participate in this discussion, then avoid the topic and move on.

I think that the 2nd design is earth 2 robin. It is. I love how they are drawing from every aspect of the Batman mythos.

Would his performance have received the attention it did if not for his death? Honestly, imo, no. There is also alot of fans & general moviegoers who did not like his version of Joker. Did he do a good job? Yes, but its all a matter of opinion.
The thing Im trying to convey here is this, everyone needs to put aside their own personal bias, either way, and realize that this movie is not the Gone with the Wind of our time.

On a related note, it was discovered there were 3 rough drafts for the 60's series that was going to include Two face. Seems that Dozier really wanted to use him, but for some reason it never saw fruition.
The titles were: Two face, About Face for Two face, and the Two Way Crimes of Two face. The latter being taken from the comics.
2 of these episodes were considered for the first season. The origin was that he would have a TV tube blow up in his face and Catwoman was going to have some part of it happening. They also wanted to have a couple episodes where there was Harvey Dent, but felt that because of Cheof O'Hara always being present it would be too much and draw from Batman and Robin themselves.

Fair enough, and dont get me wrong. I really liked the movie. I think it was the best out of all of them. Not my favorite, 89 has that honor, but overall best. I just think that if Ledger hadnt died, there would not have been the coverage this thing received. Batman has had 5 motion pictures in the last 20 years until TDK, its really not as big a deal as it used to be. I think people have become numb to the "summer blockbuster", due in part to the fact that there are so many released now. I know several people who didnt go to see it in theaters and some who have never seen it at all. As big as we all want this franchise to be, there is still a certain realization that many need to come to understand. After all the hubbub the general public tends to put out of their minds all the hype and they are ready to move on to the next thing.

Well, to get this back on topic.
I prefer Burtons Batman movies over Nolans. Im more of a fan of the fantasy than the realism. I like the worlds Burton created for the Batman characters in his 2 movies, like the atmopshere, the costumes, the score, the designs, everything. I fond Nolans Batman world to be too boring. I dont find the characters entertaining.

Dont love it, dont hate it. It was a good movie, but I think the mainstream hype, as well as the box office, was mainly due to Ledgers death. Those who think otherwise are blind.
