I think the skinny Bane is kind of a reference to Batman Beyond. They showed an old man Bane who used Venom so much his body became dependent on it and needed it to survive. He became all skin and bones, had a wheel chair and couldn't even talk. He couldn't even make the Venom anymore so he had to teach his caretaker so he could adminster it to him.

I like the redesign. In fact, the only redesign that I'm not crazy about that I've seen for the game has been the Joker himself. Something about the face seems off from what I would usually expect. I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the cast looks like.

they're actually not that lucky. Xbox 360 owners will get additional content as well via DLC. most likely in the form of another level or some sort of multiplayer mode. |

allstar, has there been a change in the release date again? i was talking to a guy in game stop and he said the 23rd was just a rumor, it was set for the 9th still. im pretty sure hes full of it and the website still says 23rd but just touching all the bases.

^ amazon, gamefaqs, & game stop's own website each list the release date as 6/23/09. that clerk must have been looking at the wrong game or something.

gamestops got a demo!! i went up there the other day and heard Hamil's legendary joker and there it was. at mine its a ps3 setup and its just one of the challenge stage. its just to show off the combat side to the game but its fluent and easy to pick up the counters are battastic! i dnt recommend playing it though, youll only want it more if u do.

bad news. Game Informer is reporting that this may get delayed until the 4th quarter this year, basically in late november. Eidos hasnt confirmed it yet though, but Game Informer is quite good with their reports and generally their rumors turn out true. this could be bad for sales, as they want it closer to the holidays to maximize profits, but they'll be competing with some true top tier titles at that time and their plan could seriously backfire. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due out at that time. Tekken 6 will be coming out alittle before and that is also huge. PS3 has probaly their biggest game ever coming at that time, God of War 3. Xbox 360 has Halo: ODST coming out at that time as well. things like this are why Eidos had to be bought out. they did the same thing last year with Tomb Raider: Underworld and they paid dearly. Underworld is an awesome game that did very poorly in sales because it competed with Gears of Wars 2 and Call of Duty: WaW. hopefully Game Informer is misinformed or Eidos smartens up.

I just got back from Game Stop and according to the workers the game is still set for release on June 23rd. As for the Batarang...looks like it'll be made out of plastic...less linjuries that way. I also played the demo...awesome...the grahics are so good and the game-play is smooth. Playing as Batman you move like him and it feels real...now I really can't wait until the 23rd.

unfortunately i have to be the bearer of bad news again. both Eidos and Warner Bros. made the official announcement this afternoon. they both said the game will no longer hit its June release date and will be released "at the end of summer 2009" instead. Eidos and Warner Bros stated that "this additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers." at least "end of summer" is better than Q4. hopefully it wont be delayed any further. i guess they decided they would rather compete against Madden 10, than against Fight Night 4, King of Fighters XII, Ghostbusters, Call of Juarez: Bound For Blood which is a much smarter financial move. i'm actually glad its set for the end of the summer, as there is too much coming out in May, June, July that will consume my time and my funds. i might not have been able to get it until that time anyway.

i'll have to pick that up. the gameplay looks awesome, i'm torn on whether i should even buy it or not though. games like that seem to just sit on the shelf after completed. i beat bioshock and i haven't touched it since.

The cover for the magazine is a great pic of the Joker. Plus, I just sold 10 PS3 Games on Ebay due to not touching them after playing through. There are only a few games that I can play over and over. Call of Duty games are one and Grand Theft Auto is another. |

I would rather wait for a great game then get a sub par game more quickly. |
