Ok, I got to play it at a friens house and all I have to say is......AWESOME!! The graphics, the moves...I even beat his own record on the challenges. I don't like the part that most enemies are muscular BlackGate prisoners, but they had to give us something. I also love the Scarecrow's mask, although I'm not so keen on the glove.

The Video Game Award nominees have been announced and Arkham Asylum has been nominated in many categories: Game of the Year Studio of the Year (Rocksteady) Best Xbox 360 Game Best Action Adventure Game Best Graphics Best Voice (Arleen Sorkin, Mark Hammil) How awesome would it be if we won Game of the Year? I can't believe that Conroy didn't get any noms in the voice categories though. Oh well, at least Hammil got one. VOTE NOW BATFANS! www.spike.com/event/vga2009

^ i wouldnt get too excited about the nominations. the Spike TV awards are the biggest joke in gaming. they're also a rigged awards show. companies use this show as advertising. thats why the truly best games arent even listed in most categories. Spike just reaches out to all game studios and the companies that accept give them games they want highlighted and showcased and they pay a fee.
its why you dont see great top selling Nintendo games listed. Super Mario Bros. Wii isnt listed in any category. Punch-Out isnt in the individual sports category. stuff like that is the tip off. same thing with Smackdown vs. Raw 2010. it easily fits in about 7 categories, including best game based on movie/tv, and its not listed. those games sell ridiculous copies and dont need to pay extra to get recognition and additional advertising. they win the real game awards.
so in all seriousness Arkham may sweep the Spike Awards, it depends on how much Eidos wanted to pay. with the sequel greenlit it would be a nice sales boost especially if they announce something about the sequel on stage while accepting the "award".

This is my favorite game at this time. I nabbed all the achievements and finished it 100% and I'm still not tired of it!
