I know Zsasz is a longshot, but i think if he was written well he could become a serious threat. and i always thought he was a great character. also Black Mask is on the poll even though the previews for the arc list him and red hood together as seperate characters. but i wouldn't doubt it if he was.

My guess (as it has been for the 2 - 3 months that I've been mentioning this) is Jack Drake. I don't think he will really die in IC - we will believe he does and then when Red Hood's identity is eventually revealed.....

you might be on to something there chief sounds like a good theory.also i agree that zsasz could be excellent if written right he seems to be sooo dangerous but they wont take him that last inch and have him seriously hurt one of the bat gang or some1 else important

although Jack Drake would be an interesting choice to take up the Red Hood, with what he knows about Batman and Robin and the other guys in the Scooby Gang. I have a feeling Lex Luthor is going to play into all of this some how.......

well if you look close at the cover art, you can see his sleeve comes up alittle bit and his skin is caucasian, so unless joker is wearing makeup to cover his chalk white skin then it's probaly not him. the only motivation i see for it being jack drake is that he blames batman for tim being robin. I'm thinking Dent, Hush, or Luthor, but i'm imagining (and hoping) it's gonna be a huge surprise.

Has anyone watched a Pup Named Scooby Doo? A mystery starts on the show. Gang: Who did it? Fred: I know! It was Red Herring!!!! Same thing on the Internet. Some type of unexplained thing pops up. '75% of net community: Who could it be? Other 25%: I know! Lex Luthor! Just some fun guys!

[glow=red,2,300]not much of a motivation... i think tim's dad is not the violent type, although he threatened batman... its impossible for jack to be the red hood, i think he can't achieve such a feat... besides, if jack drake turns out to be the red hood, eventually, he will face his son tim (robin)... if jack drake turns out to be the red hood, eventually, he will face his son tim (robin)... Actually, that's one of the reasons why I'm anticipating it turning out to be him.... When did the Red Hood first appear? Was it before or after Tim went back to being Robin?

the new red hood will appear after he's gone back to being Robin. but the original red hood (joker) made his appearance during the dick grayson - robin era, during the 50s.

I got noooo clue.
That's why I say Riddler! The original one. The one that is getting beat up by Poison Ivy. He's secretely sneaking in and out of Ivy's lair to be the Red Hood. Like I said, I got noooo clue.

This will probably sound dumb, but who or what is a Red Hood? Like I get it is a Batman villain but whats his/her origin?

This will probably sound dumb, but who or what is a Red Hood? Like I get it is a Batman villain but whats his/her origin? The original Red Hood was Joker, before he became Joker, when he robbed the playing card place and ran into the chemical plant, leading to his transformation into Joker. He used the "red hood"(a red, opaque dome over his head) to disguise himself and breathe underwater and stuff, I think. The new Red Hood, though, will be someone else, and not much is known about him/her.

Thanks for the history lesson ;D
Well judging by the pic then it seems to be someone young, and I can't think of any young characters that would turn to Red Hood, so I will agree with HUSH and say it will be someone we haven't seen much of before.

Is there there some way to bring him to life again? This is a comic! There are a million ways to bring him back! ;D Seriously though, the theory is that his body was stolen from the grave and placed into a Lazarus pit, thus restoring him to life.

i was originally thinking Dent, but after seeing the pic, it could be jason todd, but also remember who is writing the arc, Judd Winick. he also writes Outsiders, and the arc coming out at the same time has Batman in it, so it could be a character from that book, or an old villain, the face in the pic has a slight resemblance to Brother Blood IX, who happened to be in an earlier outsiders arc. just a thought though.

So, Matt, you think JT is Red Hood, I think JT is Hush. Could he be both?
Personally, me vote for Red Hood is Harvey dent. We haven't really seen him at all since Hush.
