i dunno, this book really frustrates me. i've decided to buy it simply just for the art, even though i think jim lee, with all his talent, is a little over-rated. and can anyone remember the last good thing frank miller did where he didn't repeat himself on sin city and it made you roll your eyes? i don't know about you, but when i saw the poster for the spirit, i got really angry. slap in the face to will eisner in my opinion.

There isn't an All Star Batman and Robin that comes out in December. Currently it's coming out every two months; we should get a preview next month for #9, but last I read Jim Lee was in the middle of finishing that one. I hope they don't start falling behind again....

Dang, it's a bimonthly? I love this book! It should be a monthly comic! Anyway, it's cool that the next one comes out near Cristmas:)

I'll agree with you there, All Star Batman; it does seem to really be Jim Lee who's holding the issues back.

I did pick it up and it was all right; I think we're finally starting to get somewhere, meaning the story is getting moving again instead of just introducing more and more characters like 5 and 6. The end is where I'm the most curious because I'm not all that sure how to think about it yet. I'll be looking forward to the next issue, but I don't think the 2 month wait is really worth it when the story advances as slow as Countdown, and that one's weekly, so I'd expect it not to move as quick. I still enjoyed the art and Batman though, and Dick Grayson was in it!

Well, I don't know if others of you noticed but we didn't get a solicitaion for All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder #9. Last I heard anything was Jim Lee saying he was half way through #9 a few weeks back or so. Hopefully they don't fall behind again, but it's looking that way again.

Issue 8 is coming is not coming with the Frank Miller variant anymore. Instead, we have legendary Batman artist Neal Adams doing a variant: If you look close, you can see Batman.

It's a fun cover to look at. It took me awhile to make out Batman's back but the Joker face looks great, too.

Well, judging from #7's ending and the shape of the character, which is being compared to Lee's work on HUSH, is why I say Joker (or for technicality whatever his original name is). Maybe I'm wrong...sorry if that upsets you Issue 9's cover looks great (goes with the title of the series ). To bad it doesn't look like the issue will be out in January....

That's awesome, I love it when they redo classic covers. That was Batman #34 I think or maybe 35, I dunno, I'll find out. I found the Adams cover. His style's alot different than it used to be, It's a great cover, Although It took me a minute to figure out all of it.

I don't see it as a joke. I like reading Frank Miller and that's what got me to check it out to begin with, then I learned about Jim Lee's great work. I'm sticking with the title for I believe I see where it's going and like stories like that. However, if you see it as a joke, fine, but I'm sticking with it

You maniacs! You cancelled it! Damn you! Goddamn you all to hell!Basically all bets are off. I’m being told that the "All Star" line will be wound up when the current creators leave the books, to be replaced by a new line more in keeping with the idea of creating new iconic versions of the characters rather than the Silver Post Modern Age of "All Star Superman" and the Dark Knight Satire of "All Star Batman And Robin The Boy Wonder." This is a dark day for all fans of All Star Batman and Robin. But we can look on some bright sides. With Jim Lee still working on it, we got till 2009 or 2010 for it to end. And here's hoping we still get Jim Lee on that new line mentioned.

Well, if he can get issues out better than he has been, I won't mind if he gets onto the next line.
