i picked up the issue today, and it's keeping me interested. the art sucks. but the story is decent. i'm treating it as an elseworlds because i never wanna know the joker's name (why is it always jack?) or anything about him before he was Joker (except for the red hood origin). the joker works best when he just is. not why or how, just is.

What are you doing reading this? Make time to check out the new issue instead I'm waiting until the end of the month to pick up all my stuff. I can't go their everyweek. Do you know how much gas is? Ha ha, just kidding. I'm looking forward to reading it.

I know other people who do the same thing; I don't worry about gas for the comic story since it is just across the street and a few blocks away

I wouldn't guess on the end of terrible covers until we see the next one. I have an idea of a possible next story arc, but it's based off the latest Confidential issue. *Spoiler form #9* I'm thinking Scarecrow will be in the next arc or the arc afterwards, or maybe what role he'll play will be covered by the end of the Joker tale. I'll be anxious to see how this story ends and where the next goes

Is this like the Wrath who will be showing up in The Batman this season? I haven't read the 80's comic but the story does interest me.

So I guess that isn't Batman holding on to Gordon in that cover. Thanks Nightwing. ;D

I suppose it could still be Batman, if he is trying to save Gordon. You're probably right though.

Honestly, I could take it or leave it. It's had some good elements, especially the last arc, but nothing spectacular and I still see no real need or justification for the series... especially as a replacement for LOTDK!?

The latest issue #11 wasn't too bad. Joker's as psychotic as ever and does some terrible things; I loved it Be sure to check it out even though I don't find the art all that great the story makes up for it.

So, does anyone know what's going on with this title currently? December came and went with no issue 12 and it still hasn't appeared on shipping lists. If anyone knows something, thanks

Issue 12 finally came out and I thought it was well worth the wait, whatever the reason for the wait was. Be sure to check it out! Joker surprised even me but I guess it all makes sense for a psychopath with a clown suit.

I got it today, and I gotta say the overall story was good. But most of the art is pretty bad. The art on Joker though in the last issues was great though; really twisted just like Joker. Some of Bruce's actions in this storyline felt out of character to me, like actually hiring them to take out Jack and the way he ended it with Lorna, but then I just take into account this is still a young Batman still in his first year and look over it. Overall I'll give it this great new version of the Joker's origin a 7.5/10. NEXT: The Wrath has returned!
